Hi there! Long time no see! Here’s something I made earlier. It started out as a logo design for a seafood company, but I ended up using another design for them, and kept working on this just for fun!
Hi there! I have updated my Etsy shop and now have Christmas cards and brooches on sale again!
I was interviewed for Artists & Illustrators Magazine Christmas issue and here it is – if you want to have a closer look, please click on the image and it will open as a larger image! And Hello to all of you Artists & Illustrators Magazine readers who found my blog after reading the article (:
Here’s my Christmas illustration I did for Lush for their Christmas Delights Gift Tin. I was working on this in the middle of the summer, but strangely enough the idea for the illustration came easily enough without having to listen to any Christmas songs! I used a combination of pencil sketches, watercolours and Photoshop to create this illustration.
I will be selling some Christmas cards again this year, and they will be on sale on my Etsy shop later this month.
This is cover art for Fierce Creatures‘ loooooovely new single Ships to shore, go get it! www.wearefiercecreatures.com
The song conjured up memories of carefree days from my childhood, little wooden boats kids used to make from bark and sticks and leaves, and just happy wildness in general and I tried to capture it by using lots of colour.
So, I thought, screen printing at home can’t be that difficult, right? I’ve done it at uni a hundred times, it was fun, easy and exciting.
So I freehand painted my bear onto the screen…looks good at this point!
Could barely wait til it dried… Et Voila!
…Don’t know what happened.
Ok I do know what happened, I moved the screen by accident…easy, huh? Well I tried again, but by this time I realised I hadn’t used enough of the screen blocking paint and the colour seeped through places it wasn’t supposed to.
Oh well, practise makes perfect…I’ll keep you posted : D
